Description
During the Orientation Session for Administrators in STEP, we also train them on the connection and use of the ELMO Document Camera. They receive the same trainings that their teachers would receive at their first session. This power point serves to document that training session. The Administrators are trained on connectivity and then given an opportunity to apply what they have learned before leaving with the ELMO. We also discuss some instructional implications and how the ELMO could be used and promoted in their buildings.
Reflection
I was really encouraged by the Administrators' enthusiasm, excitement and anticipation of using the ELMO back in their buildings. They shared some really good ideas about how they intended to integrate this new technology and how they could encourage their teachers to do so as well. I also learned a lot by having to practice on the ELMO myself before the training. I wish I had an ELMO when I was in the classroom. The visualizer I had was a little outdated. I was grateful to have it but the ELMO can do a lot more. I intend to continue to integrate and incorporate the ELMO in my future STEP and Non-STEP trainings.
